How to Brush Your Teeth with braces?
|
When
you are using braces, you must clean your teeth better then
before because they help the food and so the bacteria to be
wedged between the teeth and that can facilitate accruing
the dental caries and the gum inflammation. So you must clean
and brush your teeth 3 times a day, 5 min for each: |
1-Begin by putting the shorter bristles
of the special orthodontic tooth brush on the braces and
move horizontally on all your teeth from the right to the
left and for both upper and lower teeth.
|
|
2-Put the tooth brush on the gum
and move it vertically in a circular manner to the teeth
side. That must be done in the outsine and the inside area
of the upper and lower teeth.
|
|
3-Brush the inside area of the lower
teeth up and the upper teeth down.
|
|
4-Put the longer bristles of the
brush under the orthodontic arch and move it to the dental
side, so that it cleans everything wedged food under the
arch. Finally brush the biting area of all teeth.
|
|
Try to place wire back in place
with tweezers.
If that is not possible, clip wire with clean fingernail
clippers behind last tooth to which it is securely fastened.
If any discomfort, place wax on it.
